Located on Pemaquid Pond, the 'Loon's Nest' cottage is family owned and was recently updated. Rooms include a completely remodeled eat-in kitchen (2018 NEW dishwasher not yet reflected in pictures), living room with full-size sofa, two easy chairs and ottoman, full bathroom with shower, three bedrooms (king, queen and (2) twins), laundry closet w/stackable washer & dryer, large deck overlooking the lake, spacious lawn with lakeside fire pit for evening relaxing and a storage shed on property. Ample parking accommodates four vehicles. The cottage is well equipped with quality bedding and linens, fully stocked cook's kitchen, books and games, x-large gas grill and central heating for those spring and fall cool evenings. The cottage is tastefully furnished with an eye towards comfort and detail. While we have provided high-speed wifi, the cottage is NOT equipped with televisions as the owners encourage guests to "unplug" during their stay.
The cottage has frontage on Pemaquid Lake, part of the 19 mile Pemaquid River Watershed. The cottage is located minutes from Route One in the town of Nobleboro. Nobleboro is centrally located in beautiful mid-coast Maine, an hour north of Portland, thirty minutes from Camden/Rockland and Boothbay Harbor and a mere twenty minutes to Damariscotta. Maine is known as 'Vacationland' and mid-coast Maine offers the traveler endless choices all within an easy drive. From 'antiquing' (Damariscotta, Rockland, Wiscasset) to outlet shopping (Freeport, Kittery), whale watching & ocean fishing (Boothbay Harbor, Camden) to winery tours (Lincolnville), museums tours (Bath, Rockland) to art gallery browsing (Camden, Rockport), the region has it all.
